This has been a long time in coming, but it’s good to finally be back online! Right now the site is bare bones simple, and that’s fine. You came here to find the best and most thorough snake boot reviews online, and that’s exactly what this site is here to provide for you. After all, if you’re like me you’re tired of fake reviews, or search engine results that give you 10 Amazon results. We know about Amazon.com – we don’t need 10 different results offering to sell you something without offering any half-way decent review of information on the product other than the basic corporate listing that comes straight from their marketing department.
This doesn’t mean it can’t be helpful, but come on, if you want a decent review you want something a little bit better than that!
The website was down for a time because of a hosting hack, but we’re now back. Not only can we recover old reviews and make sure to update them, but we’re also going to bring in dozens of new reviews. Basically if there is a new pair of snake boots out there, we’re going to review them and give you the rundown on what we find out.
Thanks for stopping back in, and please stop back in as we will continue to rebuild our website to make sure you get the perfect fitting snake boots before the next hunting season!
Previous introduction for the old version of this website:
Snake boots are a popular choice among many hunters and other outdoor individuals who love hunting, camping, or spending a lot of time in wilderness that unfortunately can also be home to many venomous snakes. Whether a high adventure wilderness survival enthusiast wanting protection from Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes in the Rocky Mountains or a turkey hunter in the southern swamps watching out for copperheads and water moccasins, a good pair of snake boots can go a long way towards peace of mind. And considering the costs of hospital bills nowadays, just protection from one snake bite will pay for a pair of boots many times over.
Another common name for snake boots is “snake proof boots.” These two terms can be used interchangeably, and some people prefer the second title in part because then these can’t be mistaken for snakeskin boots, which have nothing to do with actual protection from snake bites. There are several different companies who produce protective snake boots. In fact, there are over a dozen although a small handful of companies definitely have the lion’s share of the market. However this doesn’t mean that you can’t find excellent snake boots from one of the companies. In fact, many people love the small companies since they’re forced to concentrate on putting out some of the best boots on the market since they can’t afford any mistakes and need to stick out.
While this list could easily become outdated with new arrivals or as the years go by and some companies get better and better while others can’t keep up with more recent and incredible designs offered by smaller companies, as of right now these ten companies or brands are among the most popular and most well known:
- LaCrosse Boots
- Chippewa Boots
- Rocky Snake Boots
- Herman Boots
- Justin Boots
- RedHead Boots
- Danner Boots
- Irish Setter Boots
- Mossy Oak
- Browning Snake Proof Boots
Over time I hope this site will become the largest single resource online for finding great reviews and information on all types of snake boots so you can make a smart decision when buying snake proof boots and rest easy not only knowing that you (or the loved one you bought them for) are protected against venomous snake bites, but also that you managed a great deal for what you need. If you already know you need a reliable pair, then check out our online store where you have your choice among many different hiking and hunting boots that will stop a snake bite.
